There's only one use for this film:Shot games! I have yet to find someone who can still stand after doing a shot everytime they say Dave in the film. Absurd, but one of those, 'it's so bad that its actually funny' films. Funky soudtrack by the Dickies too.
Usually, you can't judge a film by its title, unless the title is "Killer Klowns From Outer Space." At that point, you should know what you are getting into. If you were guessing an unbarred cheese fest, then you were correct. It has the feel of a big ol' B movie. Things like bad dialouge, bad acting, and ridiculous storylines ensure that. The feel would carry on throughout the whole film despite three definate downfalls. First of all, the movie starts off with a wrong feel. Maybe it was the fact that the credits didn't have the right look. Or maybe it was the fact that the theme is actually suprisingly good and catchy, a no no in "B" films. I don't know. All I know is that it doesn't feel right. The Second downfall has to do with special effects. The genre of "Killer Klowns" is usually known for ridiculously bad effects. Despite the cotton candy cocoons, laser gun beams, etc., the effects just look too good (see Evil Dead 2 to view proper genre effects). The third downfall is hard to place your finger on, but it just makes things seem far different than any other film similar to this. If, however, you don't mind clowning around and having a ridiculous movie to watch, you should feel right at home.
Killer clowns land on earth and kill people with crazy clown guns, all while making balloon animals. Lets just drink that in for a bit . . . now go buy it!
Stephen Chiodo's twisted fright park carnival fantasty horror flick tales the elements of the dark side of the carnival fun house and the fact that clowns are sometimes scary, and ramps it up into a cannibal clown carnage! One of the cult classics.
A low budget Science Fiction horror farce with a major cult following, it's funny and entertaining at the same time. If you suspend your disbelief then check this out.
Very cheesy and bad acting but i love the clown costumes they rock! Such a funny bad movie I LOVE IT! The Chiodo Brothers did this gas they also did the Movie Critters if you've heard of it, another good one.
OMG! I completely forgot that I've seen this movie! It's actually my step-mother's most favourite film and when she moved from the US to Australia she brought it with her on video, but it was the wrong format. Our video played it, so she came over and watched it at our place. Such a strange strange strange movie.
The only reason this has a high rating for me, is it is just what I was looking for when looking for camp cult classic. The plot and execution is ridiculous, and the movie is far from award winning, but it is cheesy 80s camp at it's finest.
Perhaps one of the most enjoyable horror films in the world. The title alone is enough o make you want to watch it. But it sounds like a terrible movie, but really it's not. It's actually really funny, and I laughed out loud at parts. A recommendation to all horror/comedy fans!
This is my absolute favourite B-Horror flick of all time! Yes it's cheesy but that's one of the best parts of this movie but believe it or not this movie for it's time & budget actually has some great special effects & sets and it's one hell of a fun movie....GREAT ENTERTAINMENT!!!
You hate little smiley stupid clowns ? You're gonne LOVE this little "echapatoire" to the clowns. Grab a popcorn, sit the children tight(they could try to get away), and hit the play button, you're on for an hell of a ride !
ahhhhhh this clown is like a killer ahhhh this movie looks old so it might not be scary but if they made another one from 2007 then it would probably scary
This is probably the movie that terrorized me the most as a kid and now that i saw it again i was laughing my ass off. As a kid i used to have nightmares with these alien clowns because i saw this movie when i was in 2nd grade. The movie isn't the scariest movie on earth but it managed to become a cult classic and the scariest clown movie that i have seen. The clowns were the freakiest clowns ever. For a 1988 movie the clowns looked great and i know that if this movie was remade today, it would be very freaky. If you remember having nightmares as a kid watching this movie, you need to watch it again and just laugh at what used freak you out.
For a movie about clowns from space it...ok well its what you'd expect from a movie about killer klowns from space. But in a really good and cotton candyish sort of way.
