I haven't seen the previos versions of this story. Nor or less this one was good, for been a low-budget film. Is always nice to see Patrick Swayze in a leading role. This is a typical adventure movie, there are thing that do not make much sense but they spice the story. I hope you can enjoy this one (just for fun).

this was utter stupidity. number one, why does every damn movie have to have some sort of romance in it? not that i'm against it, but why go adding females that weren't even in the book? and all those useless scenes just so that they could come into contact with each other...what the HELL. three bloody hours of wasted time...

Better than a lot of made-for-tv crap nowadays, but still has plenty of problems. Mostly bad writing and bad acting and a really slow plot, but it did have it's moments of inspired acting. It was low budget of course so I forgive it for a lot of things. I've never read the books, but I get the feeling fans of them will enjoy this movie somewhat.

Kinda boring, too long, but I loved the scene near the end where the previously impeccably blonde Alison Doody has a very visible 3 inch black regrowth!
