A lean, mean, funny and stylish tough guy thriller. It packs major star power and cold blopded gunplay. A hard-hitting, fast paced and enjoyable film. Thrilling, pulse-pounding and exceptional. Packs lots of action and humor. Dennis Hopper, John Malkovich, Barry Pepper, Andrew Davoli, Seth Green and Vin Diesel give great and sensational performances.
Great movie with a great cast, all of whom do an awsm job. Vin Diesel's character is one of my faves too. The humor is put in at the right moments, along with the action and drama.
Actually surprised me on how absorbing this movie really is. Basic plot of mobsters losing money and then taking some drastic measures to recover it. Pretty decent movie. Also confirms that John Malkovich is an A class bastard :P
Not half bad.. not my favorite John Malkovich role by far.. .. and Vin Diesel SUCKS in this.. it's one slurred word after another.. his lines sounded like he had 2 cups of peanut butter in his mouth.. .. Even Dennis Hopper was not in top form.. Seth Green's role was minimal, but.. he owned it.. Barry Pepper was pretty good.. even though the character really wasn't that interesting..
This movie wasn't terribly original.. but, it's not bad either.. I did enjoy watching it.. despite it's flaws.
Good mobster flick about wannabe mobsters who botch an important deal and end up in a hick town to fix the mess!!
The acting and interesting characters maintain the rythm of the movie until the very explosive end!!
Great cast, good plot, and yet it didn't quite deliver as well as I would have liked. It felt dry most of the time, with the few jokes not coming across at all funny, and the action/drama being less than interesting.. Too bad..
This is one of my favourite movie it has great story great cast,......specially i like the character of Vin Diesel.... if you are really a fan of action flick go for it .
It was ok. An all-star cast enlivens this mobster movie. Barry Pepper (Saving Private Ryan, Battlefield Earth) plays the central role of Matty, the son of a mob boss (Dennis Hopper, Blue Velvet, Speed) who's reluctant to give his son a shot at crime. Alas, when Matty and his posse of friends--tough guy Vin Diesel (Boiler Room, XXX), lover boy Andrew Davoli (The Sopranos), and screw-up Seth Green (the Austin Powers movies)--finally get an opportunity, they fumble the job, and a very important satchel of money ends up in a Montana town where the wily sheriff (Tom Noonan, Manhunter) decides he deserves a bonus for his years of public service. The posse's problems get worse when Matty's ruthless uncle (John Malkovich) comes to town to clean up the mess. Mechanical and unimaginative, but the capable performances keep it moving.
i love this film!! it really has a great story it's about the mafia about 4 friends, 2 of them sons of great mafioso bosses, one of them the muscle, and the other the buffoon and the plane pilot, so Barry Pepper as main role tries to get into his father's graces by helping him with any job, so his father (Dennis Hopper) sends him to take some money to a meet with a different organisation......while they stop in a redneck town shit really gets messed up they manage though with the help of Taylor(Vin Diesel) the muscle really kicks ass, with all star cast and action abound this movie really left a mark on me!!!! loved it!!! recommend it;)
tiresome story about the sons of mobsters who lose mob money and go back to retrieve it. I wanted it to end an hour sooner. It's very dark and very violent
