A young deaf-and-dumb man (Sanjeev Kumar) meets a similarly handicapped girl (Jaya Bhaduri) at the market, and they fall in love and get married. When their son is born, they're anxious to know whether he's also impaired -- and are overjoyed to discover he's perfectly normal.
