A very different way to go for Miike in this movie. It's all about the drama and unraveling the mystery of 9 separate people involved in two unrelated crimes. No one is really who they seem and the story presents all kinds of elements of love, revenge, and protecting one's family no matter what. The film was very clever and I was happy how the film was handled. Who is really good or bad you will just have to watch to find out...
So I finally got Flixster to add this movie, the American title is Negotiator. This was a very simple but good movie from Takashi Miike, nothing like the movies many expect from him. Hard to use the word "normal" describing one of his films, but it is. But it also shows the diverse movies he can do, so if you want to see another side of Miike, I recommend at least watching it once.
