Critic Reviews

  • Luke Y. Thompson, LYTRules.com

Made in the mid-80s as a cash-in on the hip-hop explosion, the movie plays better now than it did then

  • Jeffrey M. Anderson, San Francisco Examiner

    Worth seeing for the music.

The birth of "hip-hop". Like watching old home movies and cringing over the outdated clothes and hair styles. Fun performaces from some of the original rap/hip-hop artisits, when the genre was still light hearted and enjoyable.

Bigger than Grease? Only time will tell.
