I can't believe this film even got to be shown to people. Incompetent director Broomfield chisels a conspiracy theory into what it really is: complete and total bullshit. This is an offensive, amateur and inexcusably sloppy effort that deserves no attention whatsoever. When dealing with material of such high importance and seriousness, I don't think it's unreasonable to expect a little bit of intelligence on the director's part.
I would like to see this as a fan of kurt cobain and nirvana but i do not believe that there is enough evidence to prove that Cobain was murdered. I believe Cobain's death was a suicide
This documentary made me even more confused about Kurt Cobain's death. Broomfield went up the stage in the last scene and was acting very rude and unprofessional. Nevertheless Mrs. Love is even more rude, such a worthless attention seeker! Yuck!
im a HUGE courtney love and hole fan! and so blatently love this...although i realise its not exactly pro-courtney =0 i still enjoy this doc, nick broomfield is awesome.
This movie is really interesting if you have any doubts that Courtney Love didn't get Kurt Cobain into heroin and then had him bumped off when she had her skuzzy mitts on his money. Pissed me off to watch it but it's really good.
Those looking for definitive answers about the death of Cobain won't find them here. But for anyone interested in the process of news gathering, you will find that here in abundance.
"You may not be the reliable witness your own self." - El Duce
This inconclusive documentary that was picked up and dropped multiple times (most notably by MTV) during its making is only for fans of Nirvana who want to see everything related to the band. Fans enjoy, non-fans watch another documentary...
This documentary fails to dig deep enough to shed much light on its topic. The most informative interviews are with Private Investigator Tom Grant, and Mentors vocalist El Duce. The documentary for the most part only makes Nick Broomfield appear unprepared and bumbling, as he wastes time and film talking to media hounds who claim to know the couple, and asks questions that are irrelevant. For example, why did he include footage of himself getting kicked out of the washington state lottery for not getting proper clearance to film? He can blame Courtney Love for blocking funding for his film to some extent, but incompetence as a filmmaker is the main cause of this film's critical failings.
This is so untrue!
the guy who made it was threatened by courtney! she did everything she could to stop hime from making it public.
honestly, if you watch it closely, you'll notice theres a big mistake!
big big BIG mistake!
theres no way tha tthe guy who injected '1.52mg of heroin into his vein' would have been able to stay concience for that long!
duh!
maybe it's cuz he took morphine? and cuz he swallowed them?
ALL WRONG!! Nick Broomfeild has not only proven that he is a SHITTY documentariest but that he is also a fucking coward. Scared to deliver the truth. He starts to prove Courntey Love had involvement in Kurt's MURDER, then changes his tune near the end. He interviewed people (like the doctor) who clearly have the iq of fucking mustard. 3x the legal limit of heroin WILL put you in a catatonic state.
They're obviously out to get Courtney in this one. Just another conspiracy theory documentary about the last days of Kurt Cobain and the odd events surrounding his death.
A. Nirvana is just a really overrated band B.Courtney Love is innocent of murdering Kurt, I just don't think she would murder Kurt C.Kurt is NOT this demi-god savior, he was a junkie and a wantabe Ian Curtis, i liked Nevermind but that was not even THAT good. D.Nick Broomfield is a fucking idiot! E.This documentry just goes nowhere, it's just a pointless film
Very interesting documentary... but kurt, particularly his life, is just a small part of this story. It should be called "Who killed Kurt Cobain and why won't the media let me tell you?"
