    One word to describe this film: FIT! It really was very hot. Mostly due to Eriko Sato and her brilliant array of costumes. Cutie Honey is an apt title, as it is both Cute and Sweet. It's a very camp affair but a fun and endearing kind of camp. Like the Batman of the 60's as oppos...( read more)ed to Batman and Robin. The effects are cheesy but fit the live action anime action rather well. It's fun and kooky and goes at breakneck speed. There's plenty of underwear shots, poor greenscreen effects and ridiculous villains that like a bit of singing before a duel. Some of the action scenes were quite refreshing when they incorporated a sort of CGI/anime style. This film will cuddle you with kindness so give it a squeeze back.

    OK.. I admit it.. The poster / DVD cover for this was the lone thing that pulled me in. Color me a Dude. BUT suprisingly, some of this flick is very fun in a very OVER THE TOP kind of way. Yes, its pretty awful, but its nutty style (very anime but with REAL PEOPLE) is very fun. I...( read more)ts like a jacked up episode of POWER RANGERS but not so dumb... but still kinda dumb. I wish they had kept the pace up that they had at the beginning and made this just a 90 minute battle, but sadly it gets bogged down in all this mundane talky relationship waste. WHY? This thing had all the ingredients to be a great ride, but instead becomes a chore to get through. I'll throw it on the GUILTY PLEASURES heap and visit it when I need some hot, cutest anime chick hoping around and slaying people in bad costumes.

    Cutie Honey is a live action movie based on a Japanese manga/TV series/anime franchise. I'm not familiar with any of the previous work, so I won't comment on how the movie may compares...( read more) to it. This movie is an extremely silly, brightly-colored, comic-book romp.

    Anyone in the mood for a serious, thought-provoking film need not apply, but if you'd like some goofy super-heroine fun Cutie Honey might be your movie. There are definitely worse ways to spend an hour and a half.

    cutie is the cutest and this was jus a super cute movie. lots of random japaneseness :D! i loved it 100%. great director, too.
