this movie discusses how L spends his 20 days before the deathnote take effect.. this movie also tells what is the relationship between Near and L. A good movie to watch.. will keep you on the edge of your seat.

    Luv L lots!?
    New side of L!?
If death note expose more on Yagami Light, Than this one is focusing only on L. It's interesting enough seeing how L will react on things that happens around him, whether it's silly things or super urgent case.

L couldn't change this movie. I had an extremely low expectation in this film, and to my surprise, it was even worse than what I had imagined.

    Poorly written and directed.

Nice spin-off of Death Note, it focuses on L, including the tip of "the last name" .. just 4 fun to watch L since Death Note 2 has been so long

L has 23 days to live and he has to babysit throughout them all, the horror of it all. :p Didn't really care for the virus story and most of the deaths caused by said virus were inappropriately funny. I found the ending too sappy and kind of annoying (I really hate Near and Mello so when it's revealed that's the boy, I seethed).

It was very interesting. Didn't know that it was between the time he was scheduled to die. And it was so cute and ironic when he had to play babysitter to those two kids.

This Death Note Spin Off is a lost case because even I'm a Death Note big fan and L's one of my favorite characters in Death Note Plot.
I have to admitted this movie sucks in way to big proportions...
    a) Bad story (it has nothing to do with DN plot)
    b) Way to long (i mean 2 hours 30 minutes in a story of how L saved the world before writting his own name on the Death Note....It's totally silly!)
    c) The dialogues, the music and the performance went totally wrong....

I like the 2 previous Death Note movies (even they are not half as good as the Original Anime is...) but this movie has nothing special... BORING AND LONG!!

    NOT RECOMMENDED IT!!

Disappointingly, I looked forward to this movie and I was rather let down by its lack of good story and goos acting, for its just a scrap movie to get that extra buck out from the comic serie and the fans, see it if you really really really want to but, I doubt you'll be pleased.

This didn't have much to do with the death note and Light wasn't in it :( Not as good as the other two.

Part of the Death Note collection so obviously one of the best movies out there. Lead by what I believe to be one of the best Asian actors of his generation, Kenichi Matsuyama, everyone who loved Death Note should watch this.

L is just so cute when he tries to be human. And it's both delightful and sad how only 23 days left into his life, he's finally found a reason to REALLY live it out.

Awww... the irony. Loved L all the same (yes, not the movie, just L...)

I just love all the Death Note movies and of course the anime, too. The unfolding of mysteries is just too good to be ignored. Totally recommended!

This is a great example of how to waste an interesting character.

L Change The World, is a spin off to Death Note, in this film we watch how L is recruited to save humanity from a deadly virus . This film is so different to Death Note because it doesn´t have any suspense and the story is so predictable and boring.

Two Thumbs Up to Ken'ichi Matsuyama´s performance.

Two Thumbs Down to the whole movie!!!

    After minute :
A disappointment Death Note spin-off . After watching the smart and creative Death Note & Death note : the last name . L : Change The world disappointed me , L & K just like a "chasing each other" rivalry and Kenichi Matsuyama didn't work the character L as good as before so unnatural and way too annoying .

    Plot :
A spin-out sequel to the popular Japanese thriller. This time it focuses on the character L. L is recruited to save humanity from a deadly virus that wiped out a whole Thai village and his friend F. H...( read more read more... )is oponents are K and a twisted environmental group who want to "cleanse" the world of it's excess population with the deadly virus. His accomplices are two young children--an English-speaking boy who's the only survivor of the virus infected Thai village, and a Japanese school girl who's the child of the professor who developed the virus antidote.

    The Review
    Story :
Very manga-ish story and very guessable or predictable . Well , the first and second Death Note are really wicked , "fancy" and smart , if you compared with this one . It's so so different .

Directing , cinematography and lightning :
Nice and comfy , the whitish view are super-enjoyable , it's very very clean . Well ,there's some blood spilled there . But , it never effected the clean lightning and cinematography.

    Script :
    (again)too manga-ish . Exmp :
"You are "Near" because you always near saved people"
    -L Lawliett-
    Score & Soundtrack :
"Lenny Kravits - I'll be waiting" really matched with this movie . L's 23 days before death story is alive more because of it's average score .

Casting :Kenichi Matsuyama as L surely the best actor here . He made L alive in expression and body language but surely an annoying voice .
    Flixster - Share Movies

All other casts were only supporting L .

Overall :mangaish and boring . L : Change the world should be named L : Save the world and the best part of this movie is only it's clean and white lightning and cinematography .

Good adaptation and creativity but some parts of the plot is stupid. (spoilers) At least they show Near, L's successor even he is way different than the book. The girl has Mello's characteristics as well.
