This was OK. Alex la Iglesia makes one of the most fun and hilarious spoofs of crime and thriller films, referencing great directors such as Hitchcock and Polanski. Le Locataire is the most predominant reference. This one is amongst his best films.
Along with "El dia de la bestia" this is De la Iglesia's best work. a mad, bloody film about greedy murderous neighbors. but warning, you may either hate its absurdity or simply die of laughter.
I gotta say,I enjoyed it,even if some parts I didn;t see well because I was also busy doing stuff while watching the movie, but it had good black humor, the kinds I like
This one it's a very funny movie....but in a dark way. The story: A real state agent goes to show a really nice apartment to some clients. She enjoys it so much that decides to spend the night with her husband (obviously the real state agency for whom she works doesn't know it). Then, a neighbor is found dead, and the neighbors start acting weird. As the body is taken out of the building, the man's wallet fall form his pocket, and she picks it up. She finds what thinks is a crossword puzzle, but it ends up being a kind of map of the dead man's apartment. She follows it, she finds 300 millions in Spanish pesetas. That's when it all begins. I'll leave it at that. The acting: not superb, but very funny and phsycotic :). The direction: just great. The visuals are very "quirky & bloody". Overall??? Great movie, hilarious, keeps you interested from the very beginning, among a lot of other great attributes. So, I highly recommend it.
