Quite a sweet film, the score is not that fantastic but I will say that it has that ability at the end to make me wonder if that was all there was to it. I found this to be an odd giallo as well, the fish eating scene in particular, erotic in an odd, bizarre way I suppose.
Another excellent Italian horror thriller that has a good story, cool characters, and unexpected twists along the way. I also liked the large amount of locales in this movie, definitely gave it more style.
Another funny and stylish thriller by Ercoli. Not a great movie but a little cult for fans of Italian Giallos. Rich in humour, sensuality and suspense.
While "Death Walks On High Heels" may not be among the very classics of giallo, it contains every major element of the genre: stylish photography, engaging story, beautiful women, cutting throat with a knife and cynical detective and it delivers wonderfully. What makes it a bit flawed here is slightly too much of women's exploitation and over-plotted climax. Still, it is great to watch and often suprisingly - even if unintentionally - funny. Fist-fights are simply a classic.
An enjoyable Giallo with an unexpected death and the requisite hot female protagonist, quite fun in spite of possibly one too many twists in the plotline.
