MCT:September 30, 2007rape, murder and crooked cops. set in spain and subtitled this offers a look into a small village, a hole and a case of mistaken identity. i didn't really like what this film had to say but that's just the way it was made. there didn't seem too much point to it is all. i thought this was all going to build up towards some "wow" ending but it disappointed me greatly. is it wrong that i laughed at the final scene when the rapist is sat in his armchair with his mother or someone telling him dinner is on the table? i have a very dark sense of humour i know

Retro 70's feel to this twisty thriller from a variety of perspectives. Frank violence and isolated individuals lends to the sense of unease. Bad luck and unhappy trapped people makes a combustible mix. The director is one to watch.

MCT:May 22, 2008great thriler from spain, and twists and turns throughout, with a time frame cut up offering diferent prespectives on a event that happens in the town, and the actions of individuals, that will progress the story for other charactors in the story, making wrong doings, mistaken identity, and revenge all the more . the story follows a rape of a local visitor to the area, a feud betwen 2 oldmen, and dodgy going ons with the local policeman, and various other charactors, the plot is terrific, you follow a story, think you see the outcome, then you see a diferent charactor add or make it more complicated, well crafted, well acted all round, and a film that will keep you guessing and wanna see it through to the very end
