MCT:November 25, 2008Without a doubt the very worst Zombie Movie I have seen to date. I found this in the Mill Creek Chiller Classic 50 Movie collection. I wouldn't touch this one with a 10ft pole otherwise. The Zombies had plastic eyes that looked two different directions, it was a joke, slow, took forever to see the zombies, pass it up.

Contrary to a lot of u out there I like this Jess Franco low budget movie! We follow some friends hunting some nazis treasure left in the desert during WWII but unfortunately for them, that treasure is guarded by Nazi zombies. There are lots of talking, nothing happening and slow pace scenes but they somehow contribute to the 'plot'. After almost a hour of inactivity the action started when the group arrived at destination. There's unfortunately no gore in this movie in exception of 1 scene but the zombies make-up compensated for that and is one of the best I've seen! Another nice and original touch is seeing the zombies rising from their desert graves, seeing the sand moving with the clicking noises they made was a nice and original creepy touch! The directing as well as the acting are of the amaturish variety and the low budget quality of the picture is another thing that sadly affects the final product! I mean come on, how come when editing the movie they never noticed that someone being attack by a zombie is during full day light while another character seems to be attack during night time and remember both person are attacked at the same time!!! They could have at least shoot all the scenes at the same time but hey this is the fun of low budget cinema! This Spain/France co-production is far from being a masterpiece but not a total crapfest either! For those who love Zombie Lake!!
