Norma Shearer plays a double role in this routine, low-budget melodrama. Florence is the privileged daughter of a respected judge, while Molly is an urchin from the poor side of town. Molly takes a job as a cabaret dancer and falls for the young inventor David (Malcolm McGregor). When David invents a device that will open any safe, both the banking industry and the crooks bid for the services of the invention. Molly is the voice of reason who talks David into making the right decision about the rights to his device.
