Matthew falls for Kimberly when he sees her persuades him to dress like a girl under the name Martha to play on the team. Martha's secret identity is a boy named Matthew. Matthew & Kimberly start dating.
I saw this more times as a kid then I care to admit. Every time it rained during PE, they would play this, Little Giants, The Sandlot, or The Mighty Ducks 2.
this was one of my favorite movies when i was little... what can i say i was big on soccer! but now i think this movie is very anti-female and misogynistic.
I remember liking this a lot...but the whole idea is really ridiculous if you think about it. A boy dresses like a girl and gets to play soccer with them. Did he suck that much that he had to resort to that? He was hot though...before he hung himself. Sad...
This is such a cute film, even with Dangerfield cast as the annoying coach. Ladybugs has been recently co-opted and remixed into She's All That. But the thing is, it isn't all THAT funny. If you want to see some pre-pubescent drag in the name of sports, watch Ladybugs and not some ripoff.
Typical Rodney Dangerfield in this one. I have to admit I loved this film when it first came out but I WAS only 14 at the time. Haven't seen it for years though, I wonder how it would stand up to the test of time?
this move was probably the last thing i remember seeing Jonathon Brandis in! Besides Seaquest DSV...(my sister was in love with him so i rememeber watching ....) this movie was classic...would definetly watch it again
