Spotted by agent Dominique Besnehard in the 1980s, Anne-Charlotte Pascal does a screen test and earns a role in "Red Kiss," which wins her The Silver Bear for Most Promising New Actress in Berlin, as well as a Cesar nomination. Her expected bright future is ruined when she learns that she is HIV positive, infected by her musician boyfriend David Chapel. It becomes difficult for her to find jobs and romance after this development in her life, but she finally earns a role in a police TV series with Pierre Mondy, and a husband who receives her as she is.
