Law and Order
Law and Order (TV title: The Law) is a loose remake of the 1932 film of the same name; both were based on a novel by W. R. Burnett, which in turn was inspired by the career of legendary lawman Wyatt Earp. Not as "profound" as the earlier film, the remake is essentially a western vehicle for Johnny Mack Brown, cast as Earp-like peacekeeper Bill Ralston.
