Couple of drafts short of a good movie, Julianne Moore is not capable of carrying a flick on her own. Pierce Brosnan is a great male lead, and the supporting cast is good, but the script and female lead kill this.
This was ok, but not really the best romantic movie I have ever seen. I didn't think the two lead characters had that much chemistry. I most likely will never watch this again.
i really liked it,i think I'm more out there than those rock star couples lol because i've never done it with anyone except to my bf i really love him better then the people in this movie love each other ^^
02-17-08 --2 divorce lawyers that are total opposites constantly find themselves facing each other. He's in love with her and she doesn't believe in love. She's hardened by the "system". He tries really hard I give him that. This is an "allright" movie. Nothing too horrible to go off on.
A good romantic comedy. The love/hate combination allways work well in this kind of movies. Nonetheless, I was expecting a better ending, funnier I mean.
I loved this romantic comedy because it built the competition between the two main characters well thanks to the good acting and pairing of Juilianne Moore and Pierce Brosnan. Well worth watching.
i liked it...it was funny in a different way..divorce attorney who had diff. view; ones saying couples should reconcile, the other wanting revenge...but it ended up happily..

This movie was SO GOOD that I watched it a 2nd time in the same day. Pierce Brosnan and Julianne Moore were great as divorce attorneys who end up getting married. This is definitely a GREAT film! After all, Ireland is part of the movie. If you like Pierce Brosnan in comedies, you'll enjoy this movie. I know I did!!
Seems to be a remake of a Spencer Tracy and Katherine Hephern movie ADAMS RIB, yet was a loveable movie to watch. Pierce Brosnan is charming in all levels and Julianne Moore plays off of him so well! Great actors working well together is what makes a movie so good!
I was worried initially that I would be bored as hell. But in the first 5 minutes, Pierce Brosnan started cracking jokes. From then on, I was sure I was going to like it. Was NOT disappointed!
This is the kind of crap I really hate. But I didn't hate this...either because of the hilarious oirish stereotypes, or maybe I've just got a thing for Julianne Moore. You decide.
Nothing particularly special and also totally predictable right from the start but overall somewhat witty and definitely worth watching when you don't want to do too much thinking.
It maybe cheesy as anything but after watching it all the way through I think I need to give it an extra star... More couples need to watch this movie! :O)
Much more than your average romantic comedy. First of all, because it's not only romantic, it's also a real comedy. The dialogues are real little jems, and the twists and turns of the plot are really unforeseeable.
A chick flick comedy about romance, but it was still quite hilarious. The perfect acting job by Julianne Moore affirms my adoration for her magic on the movie screen. Pierce Brosnan personifies his role ideally as an inevitably infuriating person who Moore can't help falling in love for. Funny twist!
