Azad (Ali Ali) is an athletic Kurdistan youth whose event of choice is the high-jump. When Azad suffers a near-fatal accident and his parents begin to fear for his safety, the frightened youngster and his brother are sent to Sweden with a family who are emigrating to the Northern European country. Upon arrival, the pair remain with the family in a Stockholm refugee complex. Introduced to the school high-jump team soon thereafter, Azad immediately impresses his classmates with his remarkable skill. The only problem now is to figure out just how an illegal immigrant can join the team in time to partake in the upcoming competition in Germany. ~ Jason Buchanan, Rovi
