I'ts a shame that Ridley Scott's impressive visuals are overshadowed by a mediocre screenplay; nevertheless, I always yield to fairy tales surrounded by darkness.

When I was younger and things didn't have to make sense it was amazing. Now its a semi entertaining movie with amazing make-up effects.

It was the director's cut, and while it's still not an amazing film it's much more solid and entertaining and fulfilling than the theatrical US version, aside from the scores. I really wish Scott would have left the Tangerine Dream score in there as I find the Goldsmith score to ...( read more)

Booyah. This is my kind of crazy... hoaky but crazy. I get a big kick outa watchins goblins wielding crossbows and water witches dispaying their brute strength. Fun and mystically charged.
