Lenny Bruce Performance Film
The only full-length unedited film from this brilliant comic. Also includes the animated masterpiece "Thank You Mask Man." filmed in August of 1965 at San Francisco's Basin Street West, this video focuses on his well publicized New York obscenity trial and is one of the last performances Bruce did before his death exactly one year later.

Critic Reviews from Rotten Tomatoes

"A depressing, invaluable document"
‑ Fernando F. Croce, CinePassion
"Sadly, this all-important record of legendary comic Lenny Bruce came too late, after his three arrests for obscenity turned his routine into a rant."
‑ Jeffrey M. Anderson, Combustible Celluloid
"Worthwhile mainly as a historical piece for the old-school Lenny Bruce buffs, the 60-minute Performance Film is infinitely more heartbreaking than it is funny."
‑ Scott Weinberg, DVDTalk.com
