Director Armin Völckers takes a gently humorous look at otherness and xenophobia in modern day German with this tale of a black Berlin teen named Leroy who rediscovers his roots after falling for a pretty white girl and meeting her racist family. Leroy is a quietly reserved teen who may sport a cool afro, but be careful not to judge a book by it's cover: He'd rather play Mozart on his cello than listen to hip-hop and he's much more interested in studying Goethe than chasing girls.
