Les Comperes exemplifies the farcical humor the French have long been known for. The focus throughout is on the ludicrous compete-or-cooperate antics of its two male leads, who happen to be sharply contrasting "types" of potential fathers. Nothing gimmicky, nothing deep here--just satisfying entertainment. Those who liked the better known picture 3 Hommes et un Couffin (Three Men and a Cradle) (1985) will appreciate this.
