My favourite of the 4 films I think! Is this the one with the toilet bomb?

This is actually just as good as the first if not slightly better. The baddies from South Africa are pretty cool and add a new twist as there're from somewhere different. The action is just as good, slightly lighter but not much and the cast are possibly better than before, the t...( read more)wo leads really gelling well in their job and family lifes, the intro of great comedic relief Pesci and Ackland being a good boss. The other intro of O Connor playing the skinny martial arts expert and ice cold killer was a really nice touch. You really feel the need to kill him as the film goes on haha classic set pieces ensue again, the toilet bomb, Gibson fighting O Connor, bringing down the house on stilts and most things including Pesci. The Harris song 'Cheer Down' at the end credits is also a classic.

Faster and funnier than the first. More action, more laughs, and more thrills. A kick-ass sequel that beats it's original. An awsome action-comedy that brings even more fun and excitement.

    REVIEW
Lethal Weapon 2 reteams Mel Gibson and Danny Glover as, respectively, "loose cannon" LA detective ...( read more)Martin Riggs and Riggs' cautious family man partner Roger Murtaugh. The villain this time is a South African diplomat (Joss Ackland) who doubles as a drug dealer. Though Riggs knows what's going on thanks to characterless character witness Leo Getz (Joe Pesci), he can't touch the villain because of "diplomatic immunity." After perils too numerous to mention, Riggs and Murtaugh shoot it out with the heavies on the deck of a South African cargo ship. The film sometimes strains credulity to the breaking point, notably by having lead villain Joss Ackland turn out to be the same man who killed Mel Gibson's wife in the first Lethal Weapon. I loved this sequel adding Joe Pesci was a great move there and the "toilet bomb" scene is a movie classic. Lethal Weapon 2 was overall a very enjoyable and good sequel.

This is a great sequel with just as much humour, action and thrilling storyline. Glover and Gibson partnership grows from the first one, adding a great humourous friendship.

Lethal Weapon 2 is just as entertaining as the original. But this time, there is less drama and more of everything else.Officer Riggs and Murtaugh are once again on the trail of drug smugglers. Their investigation reveals evidence of illegal currencies, money laundering, and th...( read more)e involvement of South African Ambassadors. This poses an obstructing challenge since the villains are protected by diplomatic immunity. As a result, Riggs and Murtaugh engage them in a deadly game of threat and harassment .This leads to a bloody climax. But this Lethal Weapon has two additional elements - comic relief and romance. The comic relief is Leo Getz, an unnerving accountant placed under the protective custody of our lead characters. If Riggs can drive people crazy with his actions, Leo can do it with his chattering. The romantic part is between Riggs and Rica Vandehan . Rica is very sweet and attractive. But even if she works as an assistant among the South Africans, this does not deter Rigg's advances. The Lethal Weapon films have a trademark of creative action sequences. This is probably the only movie with a scene involving a bomb planted under a toilet. There is also the destruction of a beautiful terrace home and two exciting car chases. There is some brutality. But like in the first film, the scenes in between the action are what keep us involved. The episodes at Murtaugh's home continue to play a pleasant counterpoint to the films violence. In one funny scene, the family(including Riggs and the family plumber) gather around the living room to watch the television commercial debut of Rogers eldest daughter, Rianna. But as the advertised product slowly reveals itself, Rogers facial expression says it all.Gibson and Glover reprise their roles with more comfort and ease. Their partnership is still charming. Joe Pesci is Leo Getz. Pesci is best known for playing a tough, yapping, trouble maker like in Goodfellas and Raging Bull. He does the same job here, but minus the toughness. Rica is played by the beautiful Patsy Kensit while Joss Ackland and Derrick O Connor give fine performances as the sinister South Africans.Richard Donner is back on the director's chair. He continues to work around the original films strengths and then add to it. The result is a funnier and more explosive action picture with characters that we continue to care for. As a sequel or even a stand alone, Lethal Weapon 2 is an outstanding achievment.

Not as good as the first one but still pretty enjoyable.

Lethal Weapon lives on in this, one of the many awesome sequels that eventually transcends their 80's charm and clichés. Still another great buddy movie with action and one liners.
