This is probably one of Carrey's funniest films. The whole setup of not being able to lie is brilliant. There are so many scenes in this film that work so well....
In the elevator with the attractive woman,
most court scenes where he spills the truth,
    beating himself up,
in his o...( read more)ffice etc...
Carrey does overact to be honest and it can be alittle cringing but some of his facial expressions and comments are golden hehe
Its very predictable, cliched and the child actor is horrible but its all about the insane laughs Carrey can produce.

About an equal hit and a miss, so I neither recommend it nor hate it. Jim Carrey's slapstick is getting old.

like jerry lewis' early efforts wherein he starred, directed, wrote and sound produced the entire production, this is a film by, for, and about mr. carrey's carrying-ons, which is okay if such is tolerable for over an half an hour. unfortunately for me, i tired after that time, ...( read more)perhaps being older than the audience the material is intended for...my apologies to those teenagers.

This is my favourite Jim Carrey movie. He is a lawyer who lies for a living. His son doesn't see him much as he is a workaholic and always lets him down. For his birthday his son wishes his dad cannot lie for one day and it comes true. Jim doesn't know what has hit him. There are...( read more) hilarious scenes in the court room.

I guess you either like Jim Carrey or not. I don't think much of his slapstick humour. The story's OK, but the film still bugs me.

En genialisk komedi med Jim Carrey som en lögnaktig advokat och dålig farsa. När han missar sin sons födelsedag önskar denne att fadern inte skall kunna ljuga under 24 timmar...

This is a funny movie. Stars Jim Carrey as a lawyer who has lied one to many times. After missing his son's birthday the child makes a wish that his father can not lie. This of course happens which leads to many funny scenes. Jim Carrey is what makes the movie. With his facial ex...( read more)pressions and comedy style made for a fun film. The story is solid and has a great supporting cast. I got many laughs from this. Worth a watch.
