Plot: Just like in his dreams, a young boy discovers monsters living under his bed.
omg i loved this movie when i was little, i wonder if i'd still enjoy it as much if i watched it now! Probably lol
"who piss in my apple juice?" lol
fred savage and ben savage(both are brothers for real-life)in the film play as a brothers. comdian and the most funniest
actor howie mandel(host in game-show of "deal or no deal")play as monster named maurice.
Maurice: "You got you're stupid remote control back. Now how about lighting a candle or something? These lights are painful.
Brian Stevenson: [studies remote] Hey, what about the batteries?
Maurice: I ate 'em for breakfast. I'd give 'em to ya right now but double A battries constipate me, ok? How bout a little later?
Brian Stevenson: That's gross."
11 year old Brian Stevenson meets and befriends a manic, horned, blue-skinned creature named Maurice that appears from under his bed. Maurice persuades Brian to come with him down into the bizarre world that exists under his bed and is connected to the beds of children everywhere by giant ladders. There Brian finds a world where all sorts of oddball monsters roam and there are no adult rules. He and Maurice go on a gleeful spate of mischief and mayhem. But then the evil monster Boy abducts Brian?s younger brother Eric. There is a rather likeable pre-teen fantasy here. Little Monsters has an off-the-wall weirdness to it that is hard to dislike. With its wild central concept of a whole world under the bed, one that stretches up on long twisted ladders to connect up under children?s beds, and where the monsters live in a state of unrestrained adolescence, it is the closest film has come yet to creating a Maurice Sendakian fantasy. Fred Savage although nothing will ever change him from Kevin Arnold is good in this film. He is always a joy to watch he just brings a certain element to whatever he does. Daniel Stern is awesome with his dry humor and serious personality.
"im a monster and monsters don't do wishes"
i loved this movies when i was little its retarded but i still love it XD
A classic childhood film for me reminds me of the good old days when are you afraid of the dark scared me god I miss that show.
It's a testament to the influence of "Little Monsters" that the hottest discussion (or "meme") on the Internet is whether this film or "Drop Dead Fred" is the greatest representation in cinema history of pica as a result of childhood head trauma. I prefer this film, personally: I feel that even though Drop Dead Fred's snot-eating is strong, it doesn't quite match the warmth of Little Monsters' piss-drinking. But in order to truly appreciate the entire mucophagy and watersport rainbow, one must watch both of these films consecutively.
Very cute movie for the kids and family to watch. It's a movie were kids will not get tried of watching it.
i remember watching this when i was a young whipper snapper, the rebel effects of the monsters, wicked.cant believe how sad the ending was, like being a child. yes i got upset
wow, yeah. this is yet another movie from my childhood that i enjoyed! it was weird with a little hint of scary. It's about a boy who becomes friends with the monster under his bed, and the monster introduces him to his monster world under the bed. it crazy. it's a classic in my book.
This movie brings back childhood memories, and is good mostly for nostalgia's sake. But if you're an adult who's never seen this before there's a danger of getting really bored really fast.
As a kid, I was obsessed with this movie. I watched it again recently... sadly it's lost a bit of appeal, but it's still entertaining.
A childhood favorite! The Savage brothers are among my favorite child stars (even though they're all grown up now!).
Ah, it's a classic!! I checked under my bed for weeks after seeing this glorious cinematic masterpiece.
good movie very touching, a wonderful televsion show for children deals with growing up and the changes we go through.
I remember very little from when I was a kid but for some reason I liked this. I think I was interested in the punk style appearance of the monsters. :) Figures.
Who can forget the story about a boy who finds a world inhabited by monsters hiding under his bed? This movie is fresh and fun. Plus Fred Savage gets pansted.
"over the shoulder boulder holders" lol i loooooove this movie and id take Maurice over Drop Dead Fred anyday
so cool. there are somethings In that movie I never thought could happen in a movie!! really cool for the kids!! lil cursing!!!
ok if u have seen this movie or not u might pass out in it cause even though its a old movie its a bit boring.
This movie is great. I remember watching it over and over again, when I was younger. I still enjoy watching this movie. Fred Savage and Howie Mandel are awesome actors.
Watched this years ago. Remember it fondly. Probably not a good idea to tell kids there are monsters under their bed though.
