Little Nicky is the son of Satan. Satan wants to retire, but none of his sons are good enough for the job. There's Cassius, who's big and strong, but lacks the 'goodness' to make the job real. There's...( read more  read more... ) Adrian, who while really hot (no pun intended) and smart, has no goodness at all. Then there's Nicky [Sandler] who, while having good, lacks any evil whatsoever. As seen in the previews, he is told to release his evil. He needs to release it to save his dad. Cassius and Adrain leave Hell, thereby freezing the wall of fire that lets the damned souls into Hell. Since no souls can come in now, Satan starts to die. It's up to Little Nicky to go and get his brothers, putting them into a flask and bringing them back to Hell at the exact same time to save Satan from decomposition. If Nicky 'dies' on Earth, he will be able to get through the frozen wall and back up to Earth. The catch is that he has only a week, and that Adrian and Cassius are MUCH more powerful than he is.

When Satan decides to stay on for another 10,000 years, Adrian is outraged, and leaves Hell to go to New York, where he and Cassius attempt to round up enough souls to vote Satan out of power. Satan, understandably upset, sends Nicky to bring Adrian and Cassius back home, but Nicky finds life on Earth is more complicated than he expected. Things don't get any easier when he develops a crush on Valerie (Patricia Arquette), a good-hearted mortal woman.

    This is the most asinine piece of garbage for the year 2000. It's not funny at all and after 10 minutes you want to strangle Sandler for that annoying voice he makes up for Nicky. For the amount of special effects and cameos in it, I could have made a movie about heaven and hell 20,000 times better than this bunk and for 1/3rd the price. Sandler's worst movie; even though he's never going to make a Citizen Kane, that still says a lot. As an alternative, go rent Happy Gilmore and fast forward to Bob Barker calling Sandler a "bitch."

    Quite possibly the most annoying film I have ever seen. Adam Sandler sets my teeth on edge as it is but Little Nicky made me want to poke my eyes out and stick them in my ears!

    4 of 5 stars for the Adam Sandler comedy movie Little Nicky. Usually I don't like Adam Sandler's work, this is an exception. Sandler plays the dorkey kid of Satan. Satan is trying to retire and leave matters to one of his three sons. Well, the two stronger sons leave ah "dad" for...( read more) the real world. Satan sends Sandler to "collect" them. Alot of funny material in this movie and some really cute and funny characters. I specially enjoyed Rodney "I get no respect" Dangerfield in cameo one-liners playing Satan's dad. Lots of visual gags and odd things which are funny.

    I do recommend this movie. It is easy on the brain, entertaining, funny, cute and odd all at the same time. The only thing missing is the old Benny Hill joke "honey, please tell me the two strong sons are mine, but, the dork is not." "Sorry honey, he is yours and the other two are not..." Good job from Sander!

    Really, the story makes me think of the Kevin Smith movie Dogma but never reached the same entertainment level (it did reach it a few times but dropped soon again onto poor comedy level). I ...( read more)wasn't a bit surprised to see Quentin Tarantino as a manic street preacher because this is just his favourite type of movie! And then there is the bat-eating Ozzy of course. Very funny indeed. But the entire movie showed one bunch of overacting actors in a flattened plot, which was totally predictable. Adam Sandler once again in a disappointing role. Up to now the only good role he did was in Mike Binder's Reign over me...
    Little Nicky is not worth renting all right...

    This movie is amazing. Funniest part is when that really pale guy has breasts start growing out of his head, or when they shove pineapples up Hitlers anus.
