An old American millionairess (Bette Davis) comes to Rome every year with her chaffeur (Joseph Cotten) to play a game of cards with a destitute ragman Peppino (Alberto Sordi) and his wife Antonia (Sil...( read more  read more... )vana Mangano). She gives them the initial stakes and the game can begin. The rite has repeated itself over the years and each time the lady has won shattering their dream of winning a large sum off her. Actually the real good card player is Antonia and she decides to play the decisive game (with a 200.000.000 stake) together with a professional cheater. Once again however the old lady wins. It will be Cleopatra (Antonella Demaggi), the couple's daughter, who will take a terrible revenge on her.
