Camp Italian-made take on the Sweeny Todd formula which, as the title suggests, is about a mad butcher who finds human flesh a winning ingredient for his new range of sausages which become very popular on the streets of Vienna. It's all very cheesy stuff, very Herschell Gordon Lewis-esque but without the gore unfortunately. It's never boring but it is very dated and the humour won't rub off very effectively with everyone. Mildly entertaining.

The premise and the movie poster look great. It really isn't very exciting and drags on far too long. The only gore we get to see is Victor Buono himself. It's a bad movie.

It's a curio for sure. If you're the kind of person who likes this stuff, you'll be happy you watched it. I was. It's nothing amazing, but it is unique.
