The extreme violence is just as pronounced as in the first film in the series and although most of the choreography and visuals don't quite match the original, it does portray the poetry of death and violence a little more.

Blood and guts fly across the screen and roads are littered with bodies, as well as body parts. The relationship between father and son is a strange but strong one.

The perfect sequel from the great Itto Ogami's journey, with more action, more duels and more geiser blood, jeje.

This is a really great saga.

I didn't like Baby Cart at the River Styx as much as Sword of Vengeance but it had a damn fine opening and finale. The fights were (like Sword of Vengeance's) incredible but I liked the story slightly less. Still worth checking out though.

I have read all 28 volumes of the graphic novel and was blown away each time I read it. If Peter Jackson wanted a story that could rival the intensity of LOTR, then this is definitely one to consider.

The movie is pure 70's fashion with outlandish special effects and a massive amount of squirting/shooting blood. Compared to today's standards, it is hokey and overdone. But the heart of the film is well done.

If you ever wanted to see a samurai really get down and cause crazy blood to spray all over the place, you're gonna get into this. All of them are great, but especially the first three. These are subtitled but don't let that deter you from experiencing these films.

The 2nd of the 6 Lone Wolf and Cub movies brings us more gore and spectacular fight scenes. The clan of female ninjas are great and the 3 brothers finale is just plain mesmerising. Expect a few laughs too. Classic!

2nd in the Lone Wolf and Cub series offers great bloody swordplay from precredits to end w/ many assassins on Ogami Itto and his son's trail. Where the first installment gives the story; Baby Cart at the River Styx really supplies the gravy..plus you get to see a rather moving life or death bond of a father and son

if not for the story then for the 'special effects' (blood-spattering glory at it's best) everyone has to watch at least one babycart film in their life.
