Definitely not the best in the series but enough of a departure from the previous installment in the series to make things interesting. It's a slow build up to the final amazing 15 minutes. The fights with the messengers are pretty well done (namely with the one on fire!) but the sidebar with the pickpockets seemed unnecessary. And oddly enough there's no nudity and no one gets raped in this movie.
Every time i see another entry in this series i honestly have to fight off the urge to punch holes in my walls. The Lone Wolf and Cub films are honestly one of the best series of films ive ever seen. Aside from the action the cinematography is jaw dropping, the acting is right on and the musical scores are awsome.
Baby Cart In the Land Of Demons is the fifth and one of the best entries in the series. The end battle is nothing short of amazing. The fight coreography is some of the best sword fights yet. The story set up is freakin great. Ogami Itto must battle five messengers, each with 100 gold peices and 1/5 of the information of his job hes been hired to carry out. There is one defeated messenger in particular who delivers his message while on fire. Incredible!
Always fresh and never retreading the same story.
One of the best in the series. Very linear, but 'Oh My God!' there is bloodshed, beheadings and some amazing fight coreography. The final fight scene against the entire clan must be seen to be believed. Ridiculous but sooooo entertaining.
This is my favorite samurai film series. I really can't recommend these enough. If you haven't seen them then you need to rent them all. Right now.
Ogami Itto has to taken on the master of death in this beautiful epic samurai film well worth watching
