For some weird, scary reason, I liked it. I mean, at least it was better than "Space Jam" (and believe me when I tell you I have seen "Space Jam" A LOT of times, as it was one of the first DVDs my parents bought back in the day) and it was kind of hilarious at some points and Brendan Fraiser is charming as an action hero (yes, I said it) and I think the best thing about the movie is all the in-jokes and acid remarks on movie business, along with the classic WB characters showing their true colors for the first time (Shaggy snapping at Matthew Lillard for his performance in "Scooby Doo"? Priceless) among other nice details. But Steve Martin doing his worst Mike Myers impersonation is simply painful to watch.
Nice for a Saturday morning but stay away from this if you appreciate your braincells.
Pity, and I love Looney Tunes, especially Coyote, but of course, only Bugs and Daffy get the lights in those stupid, plotless and narrow-minded with conservatisms cliche films.
Fairly enjoyable stuff I must say. Kept me entertained, kids will definitely love it, it's about time the looney toons make a comeback, they were in essence my childhood.
Whiskey Tango Foxtrot, man. This might be one of the most unnecessary movies ever, given that there's no way it's anything like as good as the cartoons.
DJ Drake ( Brendan Fraser) & Daffy Duck discover that DJ's father named Damien Drake (Timothy Dalton) is actually a real superspy and he alerts DJ through a hidden video screen to tell him to go to Las Vegas to find a woman named Singer Dusty Tails (Heather Locklear) is a Secret Agent @ Wooden Nickel Casino to find her. VIP of Comedy Kate Houghton, (Jenna Elfman) searches for Daffy Duck to Drake family residence alongeside Bugs Bunny as they head off after them in a spy car to find DJ's father.
wow i really loved this movie but thats just because imn a looney tunes fan because they always make me smile throughout..this is a good family/comedy movie..the director of this Action & Adventure, Animation, Science Fiction & Fantasy, Comedy, Kids & Family movie had done a good job of directing this movie because you never know what 2 expect throughout this movie..this movie is really funny...i really enjoyed this movie because its just so funny
Poor LooneyTunes film. I love them but I don't love them enough to love this film. The plot is pathetic. It seems to have been thought up in a few seconds in answer to some money problems. The acting isn't good either. Brendan Fraser lets himself down. I can only imagine they asked him to do this film because he did The Mummy and they wanted a similar character but he didn't pull it off. It was terrible. Jenna Elfman was awful as well. I don't like Timothy Dalton so I won't comment. Bad film overall that really should be avoided.
i watched one with a black guy in it but that was like when i was in 4th grade and i hated it all i did was draw then they took the note book away and made me watch something that made me wanted to kill myself
I expected Looney Tunes: Back in Action to be good but not this good. It is funny and action packed and has cameos from almost every Warner cartoon there is as well as cameos from lots of stars. This must not be missed! When you think you have seen all looney Tunes Characters, they come more. No time for Breath. This is better then Space James.
grand old school fun?.but with an irritating performance from Joan Cussak and Steve Martin?best bit: when Bugs Daffy and Elmathug run though the paintings
As someone who pretty much enjoyed Space Jam ten years ago I wanted to check out this as well. The movie's problem is that it tries to please all ages. The goofing around of the cartoons is only funny for kids, the movie quotes and references for adults. The best moments are the rather subtle ones, making fun of the movie business or the actors themselves (especially Fraser and Dalton show they don't take their image too seriously). Of course you don't get bored for a second and it's all over before you get too annoyed. But considering that Steve Martin was in some of the funniest movies of the 80s his appearance here is somewhat troubling.
