Not the best of Powell and Loy's team-ups, but it's got some fun moments. Some high points include Loy in her nightgown and Powell in drag. There's also a fun scene where Powell feigns insanity at a society party by impersonating Abraham Lincoln and freeing hats into a pool. Cute screwball comedy. William Powell and Myrna Loy made a great cinematic team, I can fully understand why they were/are so well loved. I do think however, that some scenes ran a little long. A little more editing would've gone a long way.
Quite enjoyed seeing William Powell in...( read more) drag!

I turned on TCM one afternoon and was fortunate to stumble across this hilarious, madcap comedy. The story revolves around a married couple in love, preparing to celebrate their 4th wedding anniversary. The husband runs into an old girlfriend and finds himself in one compromisi...( read more)ng position after another. Due to this misunderstanding, the wife decides to file for divorce and now the husband's only solution to stop the proceedings is to pretend he is insane. Naturally, this backfires and chaos ensues. Basically it ends up with William Powell in drag. Very funny and quite entertaining from beginning to end!

Seemed silly. Kind of a let down from the other Loy Powell films.

Loy has an affair with "Hiawatha," Powell is compromised by the vampish Gail Patrick, who is not married to fatuous, lunkheaded Jack Carson, who is mistaken for an artist and a mental patient. Yesw, it's screwball comedy. Powell is in drag, but the gag does not outstay its welcom...( read more)e, and goes before the Lunacy Commission. No, it's not dadaism, but screwball comedy.

A fun screwball comedy with Myrna Loy and William Powell...who always play well off one another in movies.

Possibly the funniest William Powell/Myrna Loy flics. A timeless classic. B&W madcap comedy at it's best!! Found it at Netflix.

Screwball comedy starring Myrna Loy and William Powell. I like this one even more than their Thin Man films.
