    Outstanding performances from James Cagney and Doris Day make this film one of the better bio's from the 1950's. Excellent production values, the costumes are beautifully done. Professionally done in all aspects. Great score.

    Doris day absolutely shines in this film and her voice is on top form as Ruth Etting! :)
    She gives a stunning performance and toward the end i'm on tenterhooks! Amazing

    Fantastic performances, a great story from old Hollywood and some brilliant songs. What more could you want? DVD also has two movie shorts, both starring Ruth Etting (the subject of the Biopic) which are a great extra.
