Andy Lau is great as always, but Sammi Cheung was incredibly irritating. I didn't even get why Andy Lau's character would even put up with hers. I never felt any connection, not sympathy, not even charm. I'm not sure if the problem was her acting or how the character was written, or maybe it was both!

Andy & Sammi looks so adorable in the fat suit. Both act well and have good chemistry. It is quite touching to see Andy putting in effort to help Sammi slim down. And a happy ending when both of them finally get together.

Andy Lau in a fat suit. The fat suits were not as believable as the filmmakers thought they were, but overlooking that - this film is a lot of fun.

Good movie. An awesome story line, with a different look on love. Although the film's message--thin is beautiful--may be somewhat offensive, Love on a Diet is surprisingly sweet and harmless.

The guys who turned Eddie Murphy into Sherman Klump pull it off once again, creating Andy Lau and Sammi Cheng into grotesquely overweight characters that we can care for. Although the film's message--thin is beautiful--may be somewhat offensive, Love on a Diet is surprisingly sweet and harmless. And for once a movie that doesn't overdo it with the obligatory fart jokes.

It's only reasonable that they are always acting as couple. They are so compatible! I love the make up. They really look fat and look really fat!
