For them, luck is an occasional gift, not an entitlement. In contrast, there is Shane Bradley, a smart, good-looking 28-year-old. Obsessed with his own luck and destiny, Shane wonders if he is lucky enough to win Margaret, the girl of his dreams. When their relationship begins to falter, Shane obsesses about the possibility that he might be "unlucky". Turning to his buddies to take his mind off his romantic woes, Shane tries to turn his fate around by challenging it directly.

É frustrante constatar que as ótimas atuações (especialmente de Kirby e Rees) e o interessante roteiro são desperdiçados por uma conclusão maniqueísta e improvável.

Stumbles through unlikable characters written by the hand of someone who needed to take a few more risks himself.

I'll bet you can't figure out how this is going to end... it has moments of inspired genius but it's inconsistent.

Funny, well written... I strongly advise any Canadian to seek out this film NOW, so that it avoids the fate of so many great Canadian films, the one week theatrical window.
