Stupid yet somehow enjoyable mess that rips off not only Jaws but it's sequel too! Universal Pictures banned the film from being released in US theaters for being such a blatent pilferage but if they were smart or at least had a sense of humor they should have let it go since all it really does is make the Spielberg film look even better.
Shark enthusiasts will find alot to laugh at also as the Great White's stand-ins are stock footage of everything froma a Mako to a White Tip shark to even a shot of a bottle-nosed dolphin.

Few JAWS rip-offs can hold the distinction that this film does--it was so similar to its inspiration, that Universal sued it out of American theaters. Sadly, about the only way to get ahold of it these days is online or on bootleg video. It's a real shame, because while the film is certainly no classic, it is very entertaining. Universal probably would not have sued the makers had the titular menace not been a giant Great White because honestly, the plot has a wide number of divergences from the film it is ripping off. For instance, the hero this time is not the chief of police but an author named Peter--oddly giving the impression that this film is about Peter Benchley fighting a giant shark! Critics of the film often criticize it for its poor special effects and, while they are certainly not very good, it should be pointed out that the prop shark head used is often actually more convincing than ol' Bruce in JAWS! Maybe someday this will get the proper video release it deserves--it's certainly deserves it more than JAWS 3!

Jaws rip off that frequently cuts away to stock footage of sharks, and uses the same fake shark head over and over in other shots. Unintentionally hilarious, I'm not so sure why Universal remains so adamant about it not being released in the states. It's impossible to take seriously.

This film is a must-see for anyone who has ever wanted to see a shark go up against a helicopter.

An OK rip-off, which borrows its entire storyline and most of its characters from the first two JAWS films. The first hour is kind of boring and predictable, but it picks up a bit after that with more action, including the gigantic Great White shark (which is designed fairly well) taking down a helicopter and chomping off the corrupt mayor's legs.

Not too bad shark movie, considering this is probably the most blatant 'jaws' rip-off I have ever seen. Couple o' guys sets out to kill rampant shark, when mayor does nothing to prevent tourists from getting eaten.
The good thing is the cheesyness of the movie though. The kills are over the top, and theres a lot of shark action, so the pace is pretty fast. You barely have enough time to get bored before the movie is over.
