Critic Reviews from Rotten Tomatoes

"Slap an ill-fitting dress on an ugly man and you have instant guffaws. That surefire vaudeville tactic guarantees this chaotic French farce a fair share of laughs."
‑ Stephen Holden, New York Times
"Aside from Laspalès's enlivening physical humor, Poiré's forced, formulaic comedy of errors has little to offer."
‑ Kris Wilton, Village Voice
"Plods along in slow motion when the action should be zippy and fun."
‑ Ethan Alter, TV Guide's Movie Guide
