Off-beat gender bender that's at times funny, at times poignant, and always entertaining. Ma Vie En Rose manages to vilify our collective ignorance without insulting our sensibilities. A truly remarkable film.

Writer and director Alain Berliner has made a fresh film about what it takes to survive in a world where people still measure others by codes of conformity, prejudice, and small-mindedness.

The incomparable Ludovic stands his ground. Ma Vie En Rose isn't necessarily trying t...( read more)o advance an agenda, and it's not a movie about homosexual issues. It's about someone who is convinced he's something that physiologically he's not. Maybe it's just a phase he's going through, maybe he'll grow up to be gay. The movie doesn't really address that. That poor cute little boy (girl). My heart wept for his (her) situation. :(

The most heartbreaking movie I've ever seen.

I loved how life suddenly isn't as "pink" as it was the first 30 minutes or so. Great touch from the cinematographer.

This is definitely so much more than people say. Beautiful and extraordinary.

I loved this movie. It's funny yet heartwarming at the same time. The little kid that plays the main character is so good it's scary.

I love this weird insane movie about a young boy that desperately wants to be a little girl.

It was well filmed and sad and all, and I sympathized with the kid, but I was really distressed that any one would want to model their life on a Barbie Doll.
