  One for when your girlfriend wants to zone out for a while... at least that's how I wound up watching it, and when I did I was surprised by a snappy script with a couple of strong running jokes as well as the chemistry between Patrick Dempsey and Michelle Monaghan. With two fring...( read more)e stars performing well in their attempt to "break out," Tommy from Trainspotting (Kevin McKidd) and enough alpha male moments to keep even me interested in a forumlaic romantic comedy (read: "chick flick"), I might even say that I kind of enjoyed it. The story starts out strong, and though it falls into cliché after cliché, it at least takes a joyful and somewhat self-deprecating approach to its resolution. Worth watching, but you didn't hear it from me...

  Boy meets girl, Girl tells off boy, Boy and girl become best friends, Boy falls in love with girl, Girl falls in love with someone else...
  I think I saw this movie once. It was called My Best Friend's Wedding. Some Hollywood ...( read more)hot shot said " Hey, let's do that Julia Robert's movie, only make her character a man and have them end up together." Ignore the smoke and mirrors, another great Hollywood hit. Come on...get some new ideas already!
  Patrick Dempsey was dreamy as always. His eyes light up the whole room when he smiles. Michelle Monaghan is very pretty and a good actress. I loved her in Gone Baby Gone. They did work well together, I will give them that much. It was cute to see Kadeem Hardison and Busy Phillips. Dwayne Wayne and Audrey from Dawson's Creek always add so much depth to any script. :)
  If you find yourself bored or PMSing and in need of a little romance, Made Of Honor would be an OK choice. Just don't expect anything more then a few warm fuzzies, and don't be totally shocked when your 6 year old daughter can probably tell you how this one is going to end. It's packed with that predictable quality.

  A very cliched romantic comedy is an almost identical but mirror flipped story line of My Best Friends Wedding; the film does it jobs; it entertains but it has no real feeling behind it; and unlike its bigger, better sister film; sticks to the cliches and doesn't push the envelop...( read more)e. Not a horrible film; and passes 100 minutes with ease.
