It's a great movie. The soundtrack is really good. But, I didn't like Zayed Khan and Amrita Rao. They were just not as good at Sharukh Khan and Sushmita Sen. Other than that, it's a good movie, yea. I recommend it.
A very nice movie with Shahrukh Khan, Amrita Rao, Sushmita Sen, Zayed Khan, Kirron Kher and Suniel Shetty. I really liked Zayeds role in the movie. And the difference of Amrita in the first and second half is very suprising. The music is very good.
When a movie is described (fairly accurately, as it turns out) as a cross between True Lies, Grease, Never Been Kissed, Toy Soldiers- with a little bit of Matrix-style action and the requisite Bollywood singing and dancing- how could it not be terrible beyond belief? Main Hoon Na (which apparently translates as "I am here now"), while it does live up to the description, is not what I expected.
The film bounces around from action to romance to drama, all interspersed with entertaining music and dance numbers. The movie is almost always light-hearted and fun (and I found some of the funny bits hilarious, to be honest), although the main plotline deals with the serious issues of disputes between India and Pakistan and terrorism.
There are two things that really surprised me about the Main Hoon Na:
1. It careens along its three-hour course with hardly a dull moment. For what is essentially a fun popcorn romp of a movie, it's amazing that it manages to run this long and still be enjoyably engaging for pretty much the entire time. 2. I still have no idea how the writer/director managed to combine such a bizarre mix of things so successfully. There's no way this movie should work, never mind work well, but it does.
So I say see it for yourself. It's not ever going to be an Oscar contender but it is a very entertaining and fun movie, which is exactly what it sets out to be. If you're not put off by some some singing and dancing, Main Hoon Na will be both familiar and refreshingly different for most westerners.
I watched this movie ages ago and absolutely loved it!! The story is great, really different and SRK, Sushmita Sen, Zayed Khan and Amrita Rao totally rocked as the leads and Sunil Shetty was great in a well written negative character, terrorist Ragavan.
i have seen the movie and it is good but if it did not put that much fighting in it then it would have been beter because i think if they only did it of hight school it would be better but that is my thought
In a high profile interview of the General of the Indian army, in a building guarded like Alcatraz by the armed forces, the terrorists are able to enter as audience with guns sticking out of their butts. Great! So the profound security system didn't even bother to search the audience before letting them in! ( you get better security at railway stations ).

i have already seen this 2004 Bollywood blockbuster and like alwaz i think Shahrukh rulz and so do hiz films rule bollywood! i love him 2 bites am a grate fan of hiz!!!!! and which ever film he starz in iz always a bollywood hit!!! i admire him 4 hiz tallant!!!! and i ador him!!!!
This movie is about a boy looking for his step brother and he is trying to keep safe a majors daughter so he discises himself and goes pretending to be an student and there he finds his love in this movie there is acting by non other than King shah rukh khan! To find out the rest of the movie watch it!
Fantastic film! This film has everything you can ask for; Bollywood's biggest Superstar (Shah Rukh Khan), comedy, action, romance, superb sets, melodious music by Anu Malik, etc. First time director Farah Khan has proven to be quite a director. You must watch her next film, Om Shanti Om.
My movie of the decade! It's a classic. A combination of youth and experience in the same movie. I totally love Zayed Khan (he's sooo hot!) and Amrita Rao. I dig the fact that the Indians are wearing traditional clothing as well as young,fresh Hip Hop gear.I jst like 2 say 2 da director: Awe & big ups 2 u!
