Critic Reviews from Rotten Tomatoes

"Manages to be insulting both to slasher movies and lesbians. Where's the gay rights movement when you need it?"
‑ Frank Scheck, Hollywood Reporter
"just isn't made with enough skill -- or apparently much care at all -- to justify sitting through the whole thing"
‑ Christopher Null,
"Ms. Ferranti's direction is meandering and pedestrian, without a hint of personal style, and Ms. Johnson's script is riddled with implausibilities (no one seems too concerned when the members of the group start vanishing) and redundant scenes."
‑ Dave Kehr, New York Times
"something akin to "Friday the 13th, presented by the Lifetime channel." . . . left me wishing something interesting would happen."
‑ Brian Mckay,
"With its lukewarm gender politicking and clumsy performances, Make a Wish achieves only one real distinction: It has to be the dullest lesbian campout movie ever made."
‑ Mark Holcomb, Village Voice
"Although the story is as predictable as can be ... the performances are better than those in most super-low budget horror pictures, and Jessica Gallant's super-16mm cinematography is surprisingly handsome."
‑ Maitland McDonagh, TV Guide's Movie Guide
