In the 1993 film Malice, a college dean (Bill Pulman) and his wife (Nicole Kidman) decide to rent out the third story of their house to a surgeon (Alec Baldwin). When the wife has some abdomen pains, the doctor must perform an emergency surgery to remove her ovaries. The woman, however, becomes something of an enigma by leaving her husband and suing the doctor.
