Very captivating film. The plot was not a common plot, which was refreshing. I was particularly impressed by Joseph Fiennes' character's attachment to the Pygmees.. But there were some part of the film, that had confused me a little. It had an original screenplay, with a wonderfu...( read more)l cinematography and magnificent performances and direction. But the story did not flow so well. The beginning for example was without a previous development of the characters and the situation was confused and gave the impression of an action film. The character of Elena Van Den Ende(Kristin Scott Thomas) was also confusing, showing contradictory feelings. The music score was very beautiful and the attitudes of the white people with the pygmees were very impressive. But to sum it up,it was a good film, I really enjoyed it.

Being an anthro student I found this interesting. It was shocking, but outside of creative liberties...the ideas shown were quite accurate.
