Screen siren Marilyn Monroe makes her last film appearance playing a wife and mother, thanks to a fascinating 37-minute reconstruction of scenes from her final film, Something's Got to Give. The roman...( read more  read more... )tic comedy was halted halfway through production when Marilyn was fired from the project shortly before her tragic death in 1962. The film never found its way to the big screen but was later produced under a different title starring Doris Day.

A good documentary about what could have been. I was slightly disappointed that it didn't touch on her death as much but this is mostly about the movie that was never finished more than the life and death of Marylin Monroe.

It is such a shame watching this because you could see ...( read more)so much potential for the movie and Marylin Monroe who at 36 you would have thought her prime is over (or at least on the beauty side) but she was absolutely stunning. I have not seen a 36 year old woman looking that beautiful before.

What I hate is that people judge her and assume she is all about selling her body and being a sex symbol. I really recommend reading a book by Donald H Wolfe called "The Assassination of Marylin Monroe". After reading it myself, all my views about her as a woman, human being and an actress have changed. She was an icon and deservingly so.

The last cut of the movie on this documentary is very touching and sad at the same time. Something's Gotta Give will always be what could have been but here you get an idea of what it was going to be like.

Marilyn Monroe is exactly everything that I despise in celebrities and the opposite sex. Her life was always about being noticed for her body, and she would do anything to be noticed and to be rich. She is most famous for having an affair with who I deem to be the worst presid...( read more)ent ever, JFK. She also has an annoying voice and could not act for crap. As far as her movies go, you can count me out, for I would rather spend a day listening to Whoopi attempt to sound intelligent.
