Marina misses her father badly, and any reminder of her dearly departed dad sends her into an uncontrollable rage. As Marina's mental health gradually deteriorates, her concerned mother sends her to the family's remote country estate in hopes that some time away will do the grieving teen some good. The already grim situation soon becomes exponentially more horrific, however, when the occult-obsessed caretaker of the estate begins to exert her dark influence over the fragile Marina.
