One of Mallika's biggest fans is a student named Kittu (Aftab Shivdasani). In fact, his devotion to his favorite actress gets in the way of his studies, and he flunks out of school, much to the annoyance of his father. Determined to meet his favorite actress, Kittu travels to Bombay and finds out where Mallika lives. However, he is unable to catch a glimpse of her and has to settle for hanging out in a nearby cafe, where he poses as a wealthy tourist. In time, Kittu learns that Mallika's life is not all glamour and good times. Her life and career are being controlled by her uncle, who treats her with cruelty, and Kittu takes it upon himself to save Mallika from her uncle's treachery. ~ Mark Deming, Rovi
