    Crude, bleak and gloomy, this 1969 movie is almost unknown, its daring themes and atypical structure are so ahead of their time that you wonder why nobody mentions this as one of the most important steps in the history of cinema. I sense this could be called the darkly existentialist Pulp Fiction of bossanova, thirty years before Pulp Fiction. The ending is just emotionally asphixiating and the beginning, well, see the title. Deserves a wider recognition.
