Critic Reviews

  • Janet Maslin, New York Times

There is too much opportunity to notice the weak spots in Mr. Needham's direction. In the case of Megaforce, these include silly dialogue, poor matching shots, oafish staging, and one scene filmed between two silhouettes against a magenta background.

  • , TV Guide's Movie Guide

Well over $20 million was spent to create a film full of sound and fury but without an inkling of intelligence.

  • Rob Vaux, Mania.com

The film maintains an actual "plot," but views it more as a nuisance than a necessity, probably because it would detract from the scorching homoeroticism of Bostwick in his spandex unitard.

  • Adam Lippe, Examiner.com

One can only speculate where the money went (up their nose?) because it certainly isn't in the shoddy miniatures, or the fantastically abysmal blue-screen work. Maybe all the money went to a wrangler for Barry Bostwick's headband?

  • Widgett Walls, Needcoffee.com

    Wow. Just wow.

    Utterly stupid.

Classic cheese, like Julius Caesar's face imprinted on a block of cheddar, sure its not going to be a dignified high point in history but it's something unique to see.
