"What about me? Do you know what their plan is? To kill you. There's no doubt about it."
The second part about the notorious gangster Jacque Mesrine (Vincent Cassel).
Again great cast among others Ludivine Sagnier as Sylvie Jeanjacquot and Mattieu Amalric as Francois Besse.

If you thought Part 1 was gripping then Part 2 will blow you away. The 2nd chapter of the Mesrine saga tells the story of his latter years as a criminal - robbing banks and courting the media to make him be seen as a bit of a celebrity until his eventual murder by the police on t...( read more)he streets of Paris. Vincent Cassel is just brilliant as Jacques Mesrine showing the 2 sides of the character - caring father and son but also a brutal violent criminal. Without a doubt it's one of the best crime thrillers I've seen in a while. Highly recommended.

Gripping from start to finish. Brilliant performances and some fantastic haircuts. Who says the French are shite?

I thought this was absolutely fantastic and, in my opinion, even better than part 1. Even though it was just as dark, it didn't seem that way as there was more wit, more humour. And I believe that knowing what was going to happen at the end didn't take any of the tension away, in...( read more) fact I think it increased it.
Even if you haven't seen Part 1, this is complete enough that it doesn't matter. This doesn't rely on people having to have seen what comes before (although it does make it a better experience).
I would thorougly recommend both of the Mesrine's as superb, suspensful, action-filled, humourous, genuine gangster films.

I liked it - maybe not quite as gripping as the first part but still enjoyed it - might have been spoiled slightly by knowing how everything turned out in the end.

Second installment of the two-part film based on the true story of France's infamous public enemy during the 70s, Jacques Mesrine. He lead a life of bank robberies and high-profile kidnappings, escape... Ludivine Sagnier is sexy.
